The best book I have got in years

What made the experience of listening to Conversation Skills: Master People Skills Through Emotional Intelligence, Conversation & Body Language the most enjoyable?

It was endlessly interesting but also very easy to follow

Who was your favorite character and why?

??

Any additional comments?

I found this a huge help with conversation and general social skills, which is something I had previously had major issues with. A truly valuable and fantastic book

Taught me a lot

Taught me a lot I didn't previously know or understood, was well laid out and superbly narrated, so I am a happier customer.

One I really liked

First book in a while that I actually really liked. I can find some conversation / social situations quite difficult so this book was a welcome guide and gave me a lot of "tools" to help handle different situations.

An excellent addition to my library

Any additional comments?

I personally found the entire book to be both interesting and enjoyable to listen to but my favourite parts were in relation to body language, both how to read it and how to control my own. I had no idea this would make such a collossal change to my interactions and confidence.

Wasn’t sure at first but ended up loving it

As i said in my headline, I wasn’t sure at first. I was a little diubious simply as I have tried similar books to this and i thought it might be the same thing again - but, by the time i got to the end, I am happy to say I was proven wrong! This is a very different book. Practical, easy to follow and valuable. I found it very very motivating which is what I needed.

Took a chance

Saw this book mentioned in a youtube video and took a bit of a chance on it and im very grateful I did because it already helped me get thru (and really do well!) at a family wedding this weekend, something I was dreading as it was so full of people I didn't know. I was able to strike up conversations, hold small talk and really excel.

Finally, something that makes sense

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would and I have - why? Because it actually makes sense! So many of these books are full of utter nonsense that is impossible to understand but this one is laid out in such a unique way. It all made perfect sense and is already proving to have a positive impact on my life!

I can't get into this book.

It just all seems like common sense. She doesn't give examples, so you can't apply what she's saying to any particular situation. It's just opinions. Sometimes I'd even disagree with whats said.

She says if we didn't have emotions, we'd just sit motionless, staring straight ahead if for example a bear climbed through our window to kill us. I disagree.

Fear causes us to be careless. If you saw a bear climb through your window, you'd probably trip over in your desperate scramble, injuring yourself in the process, forgetting to pick up important items on the way. Horror movies exaggerate this beyond a cliche, but its true. The only thing on your mind would be the adrenaline coursing through your veins.

If you did not experience fear, you would calmly stand up and exit as quickly as possible. Just because you're not scared of the bear doesn't mean you're unaware of the threat it poses.
