About this listen

Brought to you by Penguin.

A roadmap for thinking clearly in any situation.

We all aspire to see the world clearly. And yet all too often, when the pressure is on, we give in to our most irrational impulses - making intuitive decisions that take us ever-further from our goals.

In Clear Thinking, Shane Parrish - 'the former spy who helps Wall Street mavens think smarter' (New York Times) - explains how to think clearly in any situation. He shows that the path to clear thinking lies not in the most high-stakes decisions, but in the most ordinary moments - from how we start our mornings to how we approach our daily conversations. And he uses stories, mental models, and psychological insights to offers a transformative method for seeing through our biases and understanding what's really happening.

The result is a must-have manual for optimizing decision-making and living intentionally. It will clear your head and transform your life.

Great book to listen

Great overall book, I was slightly annoyed by the author renaming all these biases as ‘defaults’ but I am actually thankful because the ending thesis was easier to digest as a result.

Lovely ending

When honestly considered from a personal perspective, it's advice that can work, if it's applied. This book, as with many others has a lot of good methods that of course, require action. Acting on advice and methods is the key and I think this book provides important tools for this to happen.

Lots of things hit home

I think the listener would benefit from a narrator that was more engaged - like the author.

This really opened my mind about how limited we have been programmed when it comes to thinking, definitely an eye opener
Only concern is it sounds like it’s been narrated by AI.

Such a great message
