The peak, and end of what could be considered the first half of the Dresden Files. Jim Butcher's writing at it's finest, with multiple scenes of emotional turmoil that you can't help but resonating with, and enhanced a thousand-fold by James Marsters emotive narration. Absolutely the best book in the series (so far).

The reading by James Masters has definitely improved over time as he has honed his craft and become more familiar with Jim Butcher's characters.

I do enjoy the Dresden series but sometimes the high energy activity seems to go on a bit too long . with a book of skip ahead! love the narration though and looking forward to the next book 😁

This is my fourth time through this series. Butcher is a master of his craft, Marsters is like the Mozart of audiobook narration. Both of these geniuses combine their skills to create something that will change you forever. It's perfect that this book is called "Changes", because the effect that it has had on me (as well as the series as a whole) is profound. This book genuinely makes you think about how far you'd be willing to go, how much you'd be willing to sacrifice and destroy, in order to save what you love. As a father, I found this book resonated with me more than any other I have ever read. Setting the world on fire and then roasting marshmallows... Damn straight.
