Ce n'est déjà pas bien drôle mais leurs vrais ennuis commencent quand MacFool fait un croc-en-jambe à Klaus ; il tombe et ses lunettes se brisent. Klaus se rend chez l'ophtalmologiste voisin, le Dr Orwell. À son retour, son comportement est étrange. Il reconnaît à peine ses sœurs, agit comme un automate, puis cause un grave accident avant de sortir brusquement de son état léthargique. Aussitôt, le même scénario se reproduit.
