Meals for a week are cycled or rotated through low to no-carb days, medium carb, and high-carb intake. Regardless of the level of carb intake, each day should include high protein intake. 

Fat intake is adjusted in relation to carb intake. On high-carb days, fat intake is low. On low-carb days, fat intake is high. 

The cycle depends on you. You can choose to have four low-carb days in a week, followed by a high-carb intake then a no-carb intake. Or, have three days of low-carb intake, followed by high-carb and a no-carb then start over! There are many variations to carb cycling that will work depending on you; everyone is different. 

For me, the author, I discovered that daily carb cycling works best for me; in late morning/early afternoon I eat low carb meals with fat. In the evening I eat high carb healthy foods, such as: fruit, vegetables, grains, and sometimes...unhealthy carbs like pizza, cookies, chips, etc.

Great Plan

I have heard a lot about carb cycling recently and wanted to give this little book a read to get a better understanding. I was really pleased with the information gained from this book. The author does a great job of explaining the concepts, developing a plan and breaking everything down clear and concise. Very good read.

I downloaded this book to get a quick start to weight loss and I really feel like I can do it. This book offers a great explanation of how carb cycling works. I do MMA so I was worried how a big workout would fit into carb cycling, but after reading the section on carb cycling and exercise, I totally understand how to do it properly. Thanks!

Suit everyone's goal.

Being a certified personal trainer I am definitely going to be recommending this book to my clients and friends who are putting in the effort exercising and not seeing the results as quickly as they would like to see...the carb cycling really makes sense once you understand it and the author gives you 6 different ways to carb cycle to suit everyone's goal.

Carb cycling as an easy to understand lifestyle ch

To begin, I have to say that I enjoyed the author’s authenticity and engaging form of writing with the reader. This helped it to become a “conversation” rather than just another book full of facts.

I appreciated how Josh Falenski broke down this whole concept of carb cycling into bite-sized pieces, using helpful charts and food plans to make it a workable option.

Carb Cycling works

I needed to read this book as I'm a 60+ guy who loves high carbs. This book is simple to understand yet clear so you can understand how carb cycling works. I enjoyed the author’s way of writing and his honesty. This book is not just another one full of facts and uses food plans to help you make it workable.

There are helpful tips on food preparation and strategies to help you be successful. The author writes from his oun experiences which is really helpful as well. Excellent book.

Supper item.

This book had a ton of intriguing formula thoughts for lower carb suppers. It gave me some smart thoughts for employments of interchange kinds of flours, for example, utilizing nut flours to make biscuits, or cauliflower and eggs to make tortillas. This is helpful to me since I eat a without gluten diet. There were likewise numerous tasty and filling breakfast formulas, in both the low-carb and high-carb classes.

Informative book

This was an easy read, and also very informative, without being too technical. The author gave me a great understanding of the carb cycling process and just made it seem doable. I have read other books and ended up confused or feeling as if I didn't really learn anything. The author explains what to eat on high carb days, low carb days, and no carb days (not recipes), and also touches on the high/low glycemic index/load of foods, and on how certain hormones affect weight loss, again without getting too technical.

Simple and easy to understand

Simple and easy to understand, yes, but I never felt like I needed to seek out additional resources or like I had to search elsewhere to explain anything. It may help that I know the basics of nutrition already, but my point still stands. My office is full of people on no carb/no meat/no anything that's not water ans lettuce diets; I am and have already started recommending this book to anyone who A. Wants a real sustainable approach to weight loss and behavior modification and B. Wants to nourish their body and not punish it as they lose weight. Highly recommended.

Good book.

Good book. Got a solid understanding of carb cycling. The only con to report is that I needed to page back several times to look at his food charts and to reread some of his explanations. Could have written sample recipes to follow.

Everyone has their own way of comprehending, retaining and retrieving information and I will need to summarize it for myself to be able to follow the eating plan.

Good information

I got this book off of another site and I absolutely love it! My trainer had talked to me about carb cycling but I honestly didn't understand her explanation of it because it was too scientific. This book totally breaks it down in a way for regular people to understand easily!!! However, if you want more recipes I would advise purchasing a separate carb cycling cookbook.

Wonderful book

This is a good book and gives a lot of information on how to do carb cycling. It just would be nice if there were also a lot of recipes and menu plans.
