I had read this book about 15 years ago and with the mindset to get lean and lose inches off of my waist decided to get it on Audible.
This is the greatest book on fatloss because it is not a one style fts all approach. It is information and principles that you apply, tailor and tweak to your body type.
In 4 weeks I have lost 4kg of bodyfat (not weight but actually fat) while only losing 200 grams of lean body mass. I hated my shorts and pants struggling to fit and have already seen my waist shrink by 2.5 inches. This means I am halfway towards my main goal of losing 5 inches on my waist.
I love this manual and tell people who want to lose fat the right way to get this book. Therefore 5 stars all the way!

Holy hell he has completely change the way I think about losing weight and eating healthy, he clears up a lot of misconceptions that have been placed on food and exercise. It's actually kinda mind-blowing. I can't recommend it more. Completely changed my whole mindset.

I've done shows, regimes, strict diets and everything else. Before Covid I was ripped, finally abs. 3 Years later with no gym and slacking off having that relaxed lifestyle, Im now round. The PDF found under "My Library" within Audible, has the most info I've ever seen accompanied with a book for fitness. Its bursting with information and tips and quick help; The book itself, the narration is perfect, easy and slow to understand. The explanations of everything is just brilliant. Inspiring whilst educational, I wish I had this during Covid, It may have helped me to do some actual home workouts and stay on top of everything instead of ontop of netflix. Brilliant book/pdf.

This book inverse me to make changes to my diet that resulted in improve physical appearance, mood and everything. And this is without making any other changes to my exercise or lifestyle. I’d like to see an updated or different version of this book that comes with an app, or recommends to use apps for calculating the nutrients. I was using MyNetDiary which worked well, but I had to skip a lot of the unnecessary parts of the book, explaining how the calculations work.
however, I think the body type section was pseudosciencey. The ectomorph/body type hypothesis (somatotypes) is not scientifically proven as a valid classification for metabolism, muscle growth, or fat loss. Modern research and expert consensus largely reject it as outdated and lacking evidence.
