About this listen

What makes us happy? Bill Bailey plays crazy golf and hugs trees to find out.

Is there a knack to being happy? From paddle-boarding down the Thames in a Santa hat, to wild swimming in a glacial river and cooking sausages on a campfire, Bill revels in the exhilaration of the outdoors, as well as the quieter pleasures of letter-writing, or of simple reflection.

In this beautiful and uplifting audiobook, Bill Bailey explores all this and more while delving into the nature of happiness, all in his own, remarkable, way.

Packed with wisdom and humour, Bill Bailey aims for the heart of pure joy and contentment—and how we can all achieve it.

A light, cheerful look at what can bring joy and Bailey points out that often the simpler activities and pleasures are the most meaningful and lasting.
I asked myself why I did not give this five stars, and I am not entirely sure. Perhaps I expected his words to be more life changing and perhaps I expected this to be more uproariously funny, because my opinion of the man is so very high.

As is Bill Bailey, this was utterly delightful and a pleasant simple, listen.

doesnt need a review. you know it'll be good. I did find it interesting he professed a dislike of mispelling. Though several chapters earlier he had admitted to having enjoyment travelling past a mispelling due to a faulty light. hypocrite
