About this listen
A companion novel inspired by the hotly anticipated video game Star Wars: Battlefront, this action-packed adventure follows a squad of soldiers caught in the trenches of the ultimate galactic war between good and evil.
©2015 Alexander Freed (P)2015 Random House AudioThe difference between regulations and the reality of war seemed to be a big theme. This aspect was the most developed part of the overall story and reminded me of many of my world wars classes. However, I felt like I really didn't care that much. I didn't connect with the characters, and that was the biggest downfall for me.
I'm not sure what they were going for here. Who is the intended audience? Because although I live the video game, I also love books, and this book just fell short. In saying that, it's not terrible, and the action scenes were written quite well. I loved it when they got to the Battle of Hoth. But these moments of joy were brief.
