The War in Star Wars
Where does Battlefront: Twilight Company rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Of the books I've listened to this one is one of the best. It takes an approach to Star Wars that most over look and did it quite well.
What did you like best about this story?
I liked that this was from the common soldiers perspective and showed you what being a Rebel really means to those that are fighting in the over all war agents the Empire.
Which scene was your favorite?
Darth Vader entering Echo Base, I'm not going to spoil it, lets just say as the one time you see a Force user this was amazingly well done

It's an OK story....
This was hard to get though.
The story is slow and mundane and I could only listen in small snippets. I didn't care about any of the characters and only got exited when the story intersected with events we know in the films. It's a cool exercise at looking at the military aspect of Star Wars but it would work better as a live action show/movie.

Interesting
This was filled with action. Not enough twist and gut wrenching turns as the previous novels. You actually hear another side to the story, based from the front lines point of view. Overall, I can say this is a pretty good listen.

Well, it's Star Wars... But it left me begging for more.
Having read all or nearly all of the new canon books, I would have to say Battlefront: Twilight Company is my least favorite. The action was solid, the dialogue was plentiful, but I felt no connection or empathy for the squad. This isn't an impossible feat either, it was executed perfectly in the Stackpole/Allston (especially Allston, RIP) X-Wing series. Characters could have, and should have been more fleshed out. Nearly everyone seemed bitter and unapproachable.
The narrator's performance was predictable, that is to say excellent, as I'm familiar with Davis' past works in the SW universe. He delivered solid inflection, and the acting was superb, especially when delivering feelings of regret, sadness, nervousness and pain.
The Hoth scene was the most tense and exciting. I thought the author did a good job of 'humanizing' the Rebels and Imperials, rising up the Rebels to a certain level of ruthlessness and bringing the Imperials down from an 'inherently evil' standpoint.
Overall I felt the story was weak and lazy, but still entertaining.

Amazing!
I wasn't sure how I was going to like a Star Wars book that seemed to take a more wars approach, leaving behind some of the more sci-fi elements. After listening in glad I didn't let that hesitation stop me from enjoying, because it was amazing! I could barely stop listening and wouldn't have minded if it was another 10 hours long!

Best new canon book so far
This is by far the best book in the new cannon with lords of the sith coming in second. The author worked on the old republic so it doesn't surprise me that this was much better across the board especially compared to that bush league garbage wendig put out. Honestly this is the first of the new books that I wasn't looking at the time remaining and wishing it would. My ONLY complaint (if you even want to call it that) is that the narrator does this robotic nick cage voice for the chapter headings. I thought it was pretty funny

This is a star wars junkie bucket list dream book
Where does Battlefront: Twilight Company rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I love most of the Star Wars books..minus another new book that came out recently and should of been burned along with Jar Jar. However, with that said, this book is very well done and keeps you involved the whole way through...like a good Star Wars book should do.
Who was your favorite character and why?
They were all pretty good.
Have you listened to any of Jonathan Davis’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Yes..great
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
"In the absence of the Jedi,...how many will rise to take a stand? How many will fall?"
Any additional comments?
keep them coming

while the usual sounds effects etc are good the story seems a little slow and the narrator seems to struggle doing female voices.
