About this listen
Their faith began in the glow of a small mission school in Ethiopia—but it was proven in the fire of persecution.
After marriage, they faced more than hardship—they faced open hostility. The communist government branded believers as enemies of the state. Soldiers raided their home, confiscated their Bibles, and threw her into prison—her infant brought to her only to nurse before being taken away again. While she endured confinement, he preached in secret, turning teacups and quiet corners into pulpits of truth.
When false doctrine rose to divide the Apostolic movement, he stood firm. Labeled a rebel, hunted by those who once called him brother, he was spared only by the unseen hand of God. But in the fire of betrayal and fear, revival was already forming.
Missionaries arrived from America—men who came not to debate, but to serve. They washed the feet of Ethiopian believers, prayed in the rain, and watched God pour out His Spirit in villages once bound by fear.
Today, their testimony has become the foundation of over 150 thriving churches across Ethiopia. The same truth that cost them everything has now covered a nation in grace.
The song "Paths to Glory" created with Udio and written by Roy Allison IV.
