About this listen

Bob no Bia a Imirt le Peig Sayers

An adorable translation into Irish of a children's Halloween story from the series Life in an Irish School. Irish translation company Cead Mile Focal took Avril O'Reilly's Halloween story and translated it into poetic, lively Irish. This is a funny tale about two friends who must bring a baby brother along when they go Trick or Treating. They fear that his uncool costume will spoil their chances of collecting many sweets. Events take a turn when The baby brother's friend, Caoimhe, just happens to be dressed as the queen of Irish literature, Peig Sayers! The bigger girls are not too impressed by the seanchai (storyteller) costume but it turns out that Peig Sayers has quite a way with words and the Trick or Treating does not go quite as expected. A non-scary Halloween story for kids who like dressing up for Halloween.

This audiobook mixes Irish and English so that listeners may enjoy our beautiful Irish language with a translation not far away.

Please note: This audiobook is in English and Irish.
