About this listen

Arlishie Harris Moten steadfastly refused to let her younger children grow up in highly racial sensitive Crockett, Texas. She was proven extremely correct, because one son performed autopsies at Tucson Medical Center at sixteen years of age. Future Doctor perhaps? A daughter is now Dr. Darlene Moten, another daughter holds a degree and is the author of several bestselling books, in addition to having her own television talk show. Another son is the youngest member to enter the multi-million dollar insurance board of a top insurance firm.

James, is a retired IRS Agent, has three honorable discharges, served in both the United States Air Force, and United States Marine Corps (Iceland). He owns a finance degree, is the author of I IRS (My Hell of Life). James Owns his own tax corporation.

James wrote the poems several decades ago in relationship to his life's experiences at the time. He wrote the poem's using popular street language of the time. One poem, 'Twenty-four hours of love (Then a little over time) was put to country western music, which was not pursued due to the company's problems at the attorney general level of New York. Another poem, 'Slave' is cherished by everyone including scholars whom he let read it as a crowning achievement. Another poem written at the height of the Vietnam War is 'soldiers prayer', which was written in Iceland.

James downloaded images from pictures posted by google when he organized, 'I THE BLACK POET COMES" in 2023. He downloaded the free images with the utmost respect in an effort to portray the deep meaning of the poems written decades ago.

James is an adamant believer in the existence of God and owes any success he has achieved in his hell of life to his precious mother and God. James dedicates this book of poems to Arlishie Harris Moten, the greatest person to walk the face of the earth.
