About this listen
Karl-Heinz Wilhelm (55) aus Sölden hütet seit 1999 im 4.000 Hektar großen Windachtal oberhalb von Sölden jährlich rund 900 Schafe. Das Schafehüten ist für den Bauern eine Leidenschaft, der er jährlich zwischen Mai und Oktober mit viel Hingabe nachgeht. Mit dem Schafabtrieb gegen Ende September endet aber seine Hirtenaufgabe noch nicht, denn es gilt, noch vermisste Schafe im weitläufigen Almgebiet zu finden und ins Tal zu bringen.
