One Battle After Another sees Paul Thomas Anderson adapt another Thomas Pynchon book the 1990 novel Vineland (Inherent Vice was the other). Next to Di Caprio this also stars Benicio del Toro, Sean Penn, Regina Hall, Teyana Taylor, and Chase Infiniti to name a few. This one follows a stoner alcoholic attempting to find his missing daughter when his old life (a revolutionary terrorist) catches up with him. Bob Ferguson (DiCaprio) was the gadget man for the group who now brings up his daughter Willa (Infiniti) on his own.
