• Game 2: A dominant 6–0 shutout as Luis Severino earned the win, throwing 6.1 innings of three-hit ball with five strikeouts and one walk (now 8–11, 4.51 ERA). Shea Langeliers hit his 31st home run with two RBIs, Tyler Soderstrom added his 25th homer with two RBIs, and Brent Rooker drove in two more.

With one more game left in the Astros series and three games remaining against the Royals, the A’s sit at 75–83, eliminated from playoff contention but embracing the spoiler role.
