幕末から明治初期にかけて「義経千本桜」や「鈴ヶ森」「忠臣蔵」など数多くの歌舞伎芝居の絵屏風を残し、地元高知では「絵金さん」の愛称で親しまれてきた土佐の絵師・金蔵。
ポップかつキッチュで異彩を放つ絵金の画風は、1970年代にあの横尾忠則も注目したほど。
その類稀なる個性とエネルギー感に溢れる作品群が一堂に会した展覧会の見所をたっぷりと紹介していきます。
