About this listen

 The classic Victorian melodrama of induced insanity! It’s many years later since the murder case was closed due to lack of evidence, and memories of Alice Alchrist of 9 Thornton Square in London are all but forgotten. On the shores of lake Como in Italy a young bride and her husband are on the terrace of their villa gazing in rapture at the beauty of the wonderful morning. It is the niece of Alice Alchrist, Paula and her new husband Gregory and after their honeymoon they move in to the house in London.

Lux Radio Theatre presented Gaslight on April 29, 1946.
