DEVOTION
Based on Psalm 37
Delight changes desires. When God becomes our joy, our wants align with His will. 'Delight thyself' is active, chosen enjoyment—finding pleasure in God's presence, character, and ways. The promise isn't blank-check wish fulfillment but heart transformation. As we delight in Him, He shapes our desires to match His own. Then giving us our desires is giving us Himself. The delighted heart wants what God wants to give.
A.C.T.S. REFLECTION
ADORATION: Delightful God, You are the source of true joy and satisfaction. Knowing You is life's greatest pleasure. I worship You, Heart's Desire.
CONFESSION: I confess delighting in lesser things than You.
THANKSGIVING: Thank You for being utterly delightful and desire-worthy.
SUPPLICATION: Teach me to delight in You so fully that my desires reflect Yours.
PRAYER
Defend the weak, the poor, and the fatherless. Maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed.
PSALM 82:3
Dear Lord, as I lay down to rest, I come before You with a humble heart. I think of the times I've faltered, failing to stand against injustice due to fear. Forgive me, Father, for my shortcomings, and help me to stand for Your justice in our world. I take a deep breath and allow Your mercy to wash over me, surrendering my sins and shame to You, knowing You are patient and love me unconditionally. I pray for those who need Your justice in unfair situations - please intervene and comfort them with Your peace tonight. I cry out to You, O Lord, lifting my requests to You, waiting expectantly for Your work in my life and our world. May You lighten my heart and give me rest tonight, knowing the world is in Your hands. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen. 🙏🏾
