    Oct 1 2025

Ever feel like a rock star at work, nailing every project, but your personal life’s a hot mess? Or maybe your home life’s a dream, but your career’s stuck in a rut? Join us for a fun, uplifting, and deeply insightful episode that tackles the universal struggle of feeling like a failure. We’re diving into three game-changing truths to help you rise above: 1) Stop trusting every feeling as truth—emotions can lie! 2) Ditch the victim card and own your growth journey like a boss. 3) Boost your self-awareness to break free from those predictable, personality-driven mistakes. Packed with inspiration and practical wisdom, this episode will leave you ready to rewrite your story with confidence and a smile!

Questions for Reflection or Discussion with a Friend or a group

    1) Recall a moment when you misjudged what others thought of you or your performance, only to discover you were completely off the mark. What led to this misjudgment?

    2) Mike highlighted several reasons we might assume our feelings reflect reality, such as misinterpreting body language, texts, or emails, social media influences, feeling unappreciated, or unresolved childhood issues or trauma. Which of these resonates most with your experience, and why?

    3) What small, actionable step can you take this week to challenge your assumptions and move toward a clearer perspective?

    4) Where in your life do you most frequently feel trapped, powerless, or defeated, leaning into a victim mindset? Can you pinpoint a specific situation or pattern that triggers this feeling?

    5) How can you reframe this area as a chance for personal growth? Identify one or two specific actions or mindset shifts within your control that could empower you to move forward.

    6) If you had to hypothesize, what might be three gaps between how you intend to present yourself to the world and how others actually perceive you?

    7) Have you explored any resources, such as books, videos, or systems (e.g., Enneagram, personality assessments), to deepen your self-awareness? What key insights did you gain about yourself from these?

    8) In which areas of your life—relationships, work, or personal growth—could you thrive more by showing up with greater intentional self-awareness?

    Questions for Reflection

    1) Which of the three relationships mentioned in the video do you sense you need to pay more attention to?

    2) When it comes to growing in your relationship with yourself, is there a certain area you want to grow in the most? What area is it? Brainstorm one small step you can take this week to own the growth process in this area.

    3) When it comes to your relationship with others, is there an issue that is frustrating you the most right now that you would like to learn how to navigate? WHat is it? Is there a person in your network of relationships who is a natural encourager to you that you can meet with for a hot or cold drink, or video call, to chat about what you're struggling with? Is there a person in your network of relationships who is a few steps ahead of you in their career, family, or personal growth that you could meet with to ask them a few specific questions you're trying to find answers to?

    4) When it comes to the idea of a relationship with God, what barriers are currently getting in the way of you being more curious and open to exploring your spiritual life? What would it take for that barrier to be overcome so that you felt free to be more curious and explore your spiritual life?
