Brian began investigating the subject back in 2000, joining a research group that led him to the Kansas City area, where strange events unfolded along the Platte River.

At a boat ramp one evening, Brian captured a chilling loud growl on his recorder while locals fishing nearby admitted they had experienced unexplainable encounters. On return trips, Brian documented owl calls that morphed into primate-like sounds, wood knocks that escalated into rapid exchanges, and even unusual bird calls echoing through the night.

His investigations didn’t stop there. In Oklahoma, Brian camped in Honobia with a skeptical friend—until that friend woke up at 3 a.m. to find a massive creature circling his tent. They both heard eerie chattering voices in the woods, and a rock was thrown directly at them. On another trip, Brian witnessed glowing eyes in the darkness, while his friend saw a towering figure clutching a tree before disappearing into the forest.

Brian has also come face-to-face with a strange, neckless creature moving on all fours with a bizarre gallop—an image that has stayed with him ever since. From tracks in the river mud to intense nighttime activity, Brian’s stories paint a vivid picture of Bigfoot behavior in the Midwest and beyond.
