Freiburg ist vor allem als Universitätsstadt und für seine Nähe zum Schwarzwald bekannt. In der südwestdeutschen Stadt eröffnete im Frühling 2025 im ehemaligen Verkehrsamt das erste NS-Dokumentationszentrum der Region. Antonia Löffler besuchte mit Julia Wolrab, der Leiterin des Zentrums, Orte der Erinnerung und Verfolgung in Freiburg; Orte, die vom Mitläufertum und Widerstand mahnen. Davor sprach sie mit Margit Atzler über ihre Arbeit als Reisejournalistin und darüber, wie sich auf Reisen zuvor ungekannte Aspekte einer Region zeigen - so wie eben auch in Freiburg. Antonia Löffler hat übrigens gerade ihren ersten Roman veröffentlicht. "Hydra" erscheint Ende September im Milena Verlag.
