clásico intocable y sus pinturas son hoy las más caras de la historia.
La vida de Gauguin fue fiel a su leyenda. De París a Lima en su niñez, a los 17 años
ingresa en la marina, da la vuelta al mundo y finalmente se va a Tahití, donde vive como
un nativo.
En la Polinesia fallece enfermo de sífilis, tuberculosis, mil males más y un concepto
autodestructivo donde va dejando atrás hijos abandonados y en la pobreza total. Así,
alcoholizado y cansado de luchar muere con una botella de láudano al lado de su cadáver
y con sus cuadros roídos por las ratas de su precaria morada.
