石庭大輔は、宇都宮市大谷町にある元石材商の旧家に独りで暮らす公務員。ある日、家の庭に見知らぬ若い女性が現れた。アヤと名乗るその女性は明治時代の生まれで、亡くなった大輔の祖父のもとで働いていたと言う。友人の紫は「タイムスリップだ！」と騒ぐが、大輔は信じない。だが、アヤが作った冷やしコーヒーを口にして驚く。祖父が生前「もう一度飲みたい」と語っていた通りの味わいだったのだ。さらに大輔は妹の忘れ形見・ルナを引き取ることになり、アヤ、そしてなぜか紫をも巻き込んで奇妙な同居生活が始まった。
天涯孤独の身で食にも生活にも興味なく生きてきた大輔だったが、アヤの作る百年前の料理に次第に食卓を楽しむ気持ちが湧き上がる。しかし、あるきっかけから新たなタイムスリップが起きてしまい……。
