The name is Malmsteen, Y.N.G.W.I.E - M.AL.M.S.T.E.E.N. Nordens i särklass giftigaste exportprodukt som någonsin hållit i en Fender Stratocaster. Yngwie var redan från första början hemma i Backlura för stor för att enbart nöja sig med att spela på ungdomsgårdar och folkets hus, Yngwie tänkte stort och lirade fort vilket tog honom snabbare än med ljusets hastighet över Atlanten till Amerika. Väl där hankade sig Yngwie fram i olika band och landade till slut med hjälp av America’s finest musiker i sitt alldeles egna band Rising Force.
Nordisk Metal ger sig i kast med Yngwies fjärde album ”Odyssey” (1988) som är en sprudlande låtkavalkad som blandar palmer, hårmetal och alla toner i hela världen!
