Welcome to another episode of Yappin N Shxt!
In today's episode:
- Messi and the Sounders LIVE!
- The tiny Caribbean island of Anguilla brought in $39 million from internet domain sales last year, accounting for almost one-quarter of its total revenues, per the BBC.
- In the early internet days of the 1980s, Anguilla was awarded the country-specific website address of “.ai.”
- Anguilla’s luck isn’t expected to run out anytime soon. According to the BBC, the number of .ai domain name registrations has more than doubled in the past year to 850,000 (there were fewer than 50,000 in 2020). In 2025, the island expects to bring in nearly $49 million from its .ai online real estate.
- The Long Walk, a new Stephen King movie adaptation, held a screening this weekend in which viewers walked on treadmills—and if they got tired, they had to leave.
- According to cast interviews, they filmed a scene a day and they were all walking approximately 25,000 to 30,000 steps a day.
- NFL season is back!
