2024年1月、経済評論家・山崎元さんが惜しまれながらこの世を去りました。金融業界の不都合な真実を辛口で解き明かし、シンプルで合理的な投資法を紹介して人気を博しました。その最後の著書となったのは、息子への思いを綴りながらお金と人生、幸福について説いた『経済評論家の父から息子への手紙』（Gakken）でした。実はこの作品にちなんだ、２本の未発表原稿が遺されていました。いずれも書き上げて書籍化することを予定していましたが、残念ながら形にすることはかないませんでした。
