I had read her Cat Carlisle series and enjoyed them but I found this really hard going. It didn’t seem to flow and I couldn’t get a feeling for the characters, the place or a sense of the time WW2. I’m not sure if it was the writing or that the narration wasn’t flowing well. I may try the second book, but I will listen to the preview. I’m sorry I cannot recommend this book.
