This second story in the Eternal Night short story trilogy takes place three months after the first. The female journalist main character from the first story is not here, and the story instead focuses on Jonathan, the journalist's old friend and male secondary from the first story. This one provides some more information into the real world outside the game, which I found really interesting, though most of the action takes place in the game.

Writing has slipped a little and quality isn't quite up to the same standard as the first story. I heard a number of errors, and sentence structure could be improved in a couple of places. There are also a couple of small inconsistencies (e.g. respawn delay). That said, it's still in the higher range of self-published KU work.

There's a new narrator for this story too, and while he attempts some characterization for dialogue, the accents / voices are inconsistent. Production quality is excellent.

There's no real "hook" for this short story, but I still enjoyed listening to it. I'll definitely finish the series.
