The author is quite good at what he does. The story is oddly compelling and the characters are decent. The first part was a bit rough but the second half was excellent.

So hard to find books this good in the masses!

The book takes a bit of a left turn here and turns into a dragon rider book, with the main character deciding that they want to bond with one. It was cool, but not something that I'd expected after reading an entire book that didn't deal with them at all.

As with the first, there were a couple of moral choices I didn't really like with the main character - in particular with how he dealt with acquiring his master of body enhancement card - but this is small fry and didn't affect my enjoyment of the story

this is another easy 5 stars, and definitely on my highly recommend list.
