Another Cynster, this time Alastair, known as Lucifer, meets his fate as he hunts down the man who murdered his old friend and antiquarian Horatio, Phyllida Tallent is just as bent on discovering the truth as Lucifer and their collaboration is assured as they struggle to make sense of strange circumstances surrounding Horatio’s death. Beautifully read by Simon Prebble whose ability to create different voices for each of the characters is amazing. A very satisfying story.
