Amanda and Amelia, twin sisters had set their minds to find their own husbands. Luke was the one she had had known all her life and set her mind on what she could do. One night, waiting for Luke to come home to his family house in London she waited in her coach she finally saw him, she pushed in his front door and asked him to Marry her as she knew his estate needed money. So shocked Luke said Yes then bowed and promptly fainted from the alcohol as it went to his head. This love story was very well read by Simon Prebble. The Cynster family stories are excellent. Even having read them in paperback then in Audio the stories are still fascinating!

Next chapter in the Cynster book series, great storyline with several different aspects. Still too much erotic sexual descriptors but I just skip all that now, well read.

Amanda Cynster and Luc Ashford have known each other all their lives and each privately knew that the other was the only one for them. When Amanda proposes marriage to Luc, he immediately agrees but not for the sake of the dowry she offers to save his family financially. Neither acknowledges their love to the other, leading to challenges in their marriage. Beautifully characterised by Simon Prebble’s reading, this is an engaging story that I thoroughly enjoyed.
