The narrator’s beautiful voice.
I’ve always loved this story, mysterious and dark, with its uplifting ending. Kobna Holdbrook-Smith brings it to life in a way that enhances its magical allure.

Good book, okay reader
Read the books many times and really enjoy it. Reader sound a bit put on/forced/whispery/raspy. Got better after a struggle of foreword and first chapter.

The audiobook version that Earthsea deserves
I'm really enjoying this, Holdbook-Smith has a brilliant voice, very deep and rumbly and sensitive. His narration has a lot of gravitas and grace, that such an incredible story as Earthsea deserves.

Great book - a classic!
Revisiting this story from long ago, and it still holds the same magical narrative. Not anything thrilling like todays fast action genres but a lovely piece of literature.
