Publisher's Summary

Wealthy and roguish, Demon Cynster is perfectly content without love. Having witnessed his Cynster brethren driven to their knees by women, he knows all too well what the power of love can do to a man. But he never banked on meeting Felicity Parteger, a luscious, curvy beauty in desperate need of help. Could this tempting woman be the one? Felicity knows he will never pledge her his love - can passion and lust alone suffice? Driving Laurens' tale toward its climax, Simon Prebble's powerful narration takes listeners to a new pinnacle of pleasure.

An Angel!

Dilan was in hiding from a syndicate that had conned him into participating in race fixing. His father was the man in charge of keeping records for all the wins. Felicity was on a Horse, riding one of Demons best horses, testing him out for future races. She loved horses, riding, everything about them. Having been raised by the General since she was seven, Felicity owed him alot. That's why when Dilan came to her and told how he was in trouble and why, she was determined to help. Demon having arrived at his stables early saw someone on one of his horses and his interest was arrested. Then begins the adventure. Love this family of Cynsters!

The Cynster Family Saga Continues...

While not one of the best books of this series, the recorded version by Simon Preeble, is up to his usual high standard. A little repetitious in places, particularly in the lovemaking scenes. Devil's Bride(Bk1), Scandal's Bride (Bk3), The Perfect Lover (Bk10) and many of the latter stories are all worth reading & are some of my favourites. These books give an insight into the narrow and often restrictive lifestyles of the period, particularly for women, but do showcase the more positive philosophies exhibited by many of the lead male charachters at the end of their story. The books highlight a very particular period of English history that seems almost unbelievable, when compared to the so much more unfettered times of today.

A real Demon

I like Demon, but I like Flick even more. I like his temper and the fact that she is not intimated. The series has detailed sex scenes, so prepare for it. It still comes across as very romantic. Simon Prebble's narration is incredible. This story has a great storyline. One thing I noticed was that Demon's father was barely mentioned in this story. Seems odd. Otherwise....I love this series.

Another entailed story of Love and Family

Where does A Rogue's Proposal rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Stephanie Laurens has a knack for great story lines, and keep you reading, doesn't seemed to be a dull moment of reading. Each book you read keeps getting better and better.

Annoying Heroine. She annoyed me! Way to thirsty

The narrator was brilliant. The heroine didn't know how to play the game. She behaved WAY to thirsty for the time period. All of this premarital sex takes from the story. IMO

still like this series

Yes the endings are predictable. I did like this book better than the previous one in the series. This was enjoyable but not my favorite so far. Seems like the male characters have lacked depth since the first couple books. However, I will finish the series as it is interesting to see how they all come out in the end. I think this is a fabulous narrator for this genre.

They just keep getting better

It isn't just the strong male characters in this series that make it extraordinary. The strong female characters add strength and vitality. Laurens has penned another great story combining romance, a little mystery, and the ultimate capture of yet another Cynster. When these guys fall in love they become totally committed to making the woman in their life happy and secure. My kind of guys.

Not enough can be said about how Simon Prebble brings all these characters to life.

A bit redundant

Gave this one a try after disappointing last book. This was pretty redundant throughout, and though the plot was interesting at times, fell flat for me.

Disappointing

I love Simon Prebble - he was the reason I finished A Rogue's Proposal. I liked Flick, although she was maybe a bit too naive. But, Demon was not likeable. SPOILERS******** 1. He was obviously playing on Flick's naivete and innocence, and tried to manage her in every way. 2. He was a misogynist - how many times does one have to read that he wouldn't have normally thought much of a woman's opinion? 3. I was also sick of hearing how many women he has bedded and how experienced he is. Besides the risk of a disease, I wouldn't like to wonder about all the ladies I met and if they had been his lover before me (and could I be sure he wouldn't go back to that?). 4. The mystery got put on the back burner if favor of boring balls and Demon being a jerk. This was not my favorite book from this author.

Another wonderful listen

Once again Stephanie Laurens made my ears tingle. I enjoyed every minute of Simon Prebble's awesome narration. Whatever some reviewers had to say about this book, I loved, loved, loved it. In fact I love all the stories about the Cynsters. Grab it today and find out for yourself why so many readers swoon about these stories. 5 stars from me.

The plot was Good

The woman was plainly stupid and for a supposedly strong man who is for ever fighting his DEMONS, he sure was easily manipulated. Her extreme youth was meant to explain away her behaviour, then you find out she is twenty. In fact neither character lived up to their billing, but as usually there is long, imaginative, repetitive sex filling the pages.

Unfortunately Not for Me!

I found the heroin truly annoying and insipid and couldn't finish the book which is a shame as I usually love Miss Laurens books! Needed an older woman in the part!
