Publisher's Summary

Having experienced his first survival type Trial, Trent Embra is eager to explore what else the world has to offer.

There is only one problem. Not everyone comes away from a month of constant fighting untouched. Trent's friend Tersa is unhinged by her time in the Land of the Undying Lord, and Sergeant Cullen means to see her fixed. Enlisted to help, Trent is dragged toward another Trial, mostly willingly. Only time will tell if Tersa still has a place in the Guard and what the Infinite World has in store for Trent.

Chills

A gripping tale, a powerful continuation, a heavy heart at its conclusion. Read on and enjoy.

Awesome world and character exploration

We got to see more of the world and characters. The plot was mostly focused on character development and did not have a lot of battles. So if you're here for battles this might not be for you.
The introduction of new characters and character interaction was so entertaining that time flew by!

Narrator is as good as always. One small grievance was that the sound was a bit muffled for 1 chapter. Nothing too atrocious, could understand everything it just took you out of the emergence. But only lasted for a chapter so I wasn't too bothered by it.

ok this series is actually well written

if studio Ghibli did lit RPG.

narrator gets the voices perfect.

story makes you want to turn the imaginary page.

not stat heavy and while the progression seems simple in book 1 book 2 diverges into interesting plot threads.

and at the end of the day if you don't like it, swap it for something you do.

Short but good

Although I believe this book should be incorporated into book 1 or 3 and that it’s too short to be considered a full novel but more of a novella. It does a good job in progressing the character building.
Overall it’s a good progression and a good read.

Great book

Really enjoyed this book, the main characters 'best friend' is so freaking infuriating which made it a bit hard at times.

Padded story

Really enjoyed book 1. This book felt like it was just padding, no real story or development. Carrying on with the series though,
