story was a bit slow on this one with a lot of progression and more than a little bit of foreshadowing. overall I absolutely loved it and can't wait to see where we go with these new characters!

With solid writing, great characterisation, and a fascinating plot, this book continues to expertly weave the tail of Trent. I am so excited for the next one, the author can't write fast enough.

This is the first time I’ve listened to this genre and I love it. Binge listened to all four books. Love the characters, their personalities, strengths and weaknesses. Also enjoyed the narrator but found him better on a lower speed setting. If there was one fault I could find it would be that I was left hanging at the end of book 4 feeling that it was incomplete, and it seems there’s no book 5 on the near horizon regardless of the author’s promise that it will be here in July/August 2023. As it is now 2024 with no update I am left wondering if it has, like so many others, fallen to the wayside. A great series, however the feeling of a great sense of loss at not knowing what becomes of these wonderful characters makes me almost wish I had never come across it.

no character was bland and every time the story strayed from Trent I wanted to skip forward but the other characters. But I still loved the others and the flaws that they have are so good
