Dien Bien Phu. Saigon. Hanoi. In 1954, they were only exotic names from a French campaign halfway around the world. High Yella is the poignant account of how he tried to leave his troubled childhood and family behind to create a new identity, only to discover he ultimately needed to return home to truly find himself and help his two adopted Black daughters find their own place in the world.

In a world shaped by environmental collapse and the fall of human dominance, anthropomorphic species have risen to defend what remains. Among them is Major, a battle-scarred badger and seasoned special forces operator leading the elite B Troop against a relentless enemy crossing the border. As raiding parties strike isolated villages and enemy soldiers infiltrate deep into their territory, Major must guide his troop through reconnaissance missions, ambushes, and full-scale engagements.
