Robin D.M. Potter is a UK military veteran with service in both regular and reserve units, bringing grounded tactical realism to every story he tells. Born and raised in Scotland, Robin draws on years of military experience to craft speculative fiction shaped by hard action, unforgiving landscapes, and the raw fight for survival. After retiring from the army, he transitioned into finance as a risk analyst. His writing explores the hidden edges of conflict, loyalty being tested, resilience earned, and a future humanity that is pushed to the brink. Robin is the author of the Operation Dreadnaught series, a brutal military-sci-fi saga of survival, brotherhood, and war against the dying light of a ruined world. Both books in the series are now published, with the third installment currently in development. In addition to his science fiction work, Robin is currently writing a second series in the fantasy genre. This new project allows him to explore a different kind of world-building while maintaining his signature focus on grit, resilience, and the human condition under pressure. Now focused full-time on writing gritty, character-driven speculative fiction, Robin continues to build immersive worlds where duty collides with desperation. Outside of writing, he is an accomplished photographer drawn to the same themes that define his work: isolation, endurance, and the quiet power of survival. He lives in Scotland with his wife and children, balancing time between storytelling, photography, and the next mission in the world of Meles Nation.
