Rick’s interest in writing started as a community college student with a pair of extraordinary English professors who taught him to write effectively through spec fiction. Thirty-plus years later, their impact is evident in two degrees in History, a Master of Knowledge Management, a doctoral study in Medical Information Science, and a career in higher education administration. Though now retired from higher ed, Rick remains a lifelong learner, writer, and professional geek, though somewhat creatively fickle. His interests span science fiction, alternate history, adventure, and political thrillers. His novel, The Tunguska Deception, was released in June 2023 Veteran, husband, and father to four amazing young men, Rick, his wife, and their two dogs make their home just yards from the San Andres Fault.
