Rick Ellinger grew up in the church and committed his life to the Lord while in college. He has served as a deacon, adult Sunday School teacher and as an Awana leader. Rick's Sci-Fi trilogy, The Europa Project, is an exciting science fiction adventure for all ages. "Rescue to Europa", "Refuge on Europa" and "Return from Europa" are Christian-based, science fiction adventure novellas. Spiritual themes included in the series: How to be saved from sin and rescued to heaven. Trusting the Lord and taking refuge in Him. Returning to our faith in the Lord if we have strayed. The Lord will return to take His people with Him to heaven. Rick's Little Red Truck trilogy " A Little Red Truck Miracle", "A Little Red Truck Mystery", and "A Little Red Truck Marriage" are novelettes for all ages with spiritual themes and Biblical values throughout. "If I Had A Little Red Truck" is a children's book, written and illustrated by Rick. Rick's spiritual warfare book series, "Opposing Realms", is based on actual events from his own experiences in college. Encounter the spiritual realm and witness the power of prayer and God's Word as two realms collide. Rick has also published an activity book in an effort to get kids familiar with God's Word, to memorize it, and to enjoy it. Based on "The Hunt for the Heart of G.O.L.D." chapter book, the activity book and journal contains over 70 activity pages including word search puzzles, crossword puzzles, RHINO Sudoku puzzles, coloring and drawing pages, coded messages, mazes, and more! Rick's book, "The Gifts of the Guard", is a compilation of 3 small books, "A Cross for Christmas", "An Angel for Easter", and "A Story for the Sabbath", plus the sequel, "A Song for the Season". In "A Cross for Christmas", Rick expresses a passionate desire for all of us to consider why we celebrate Christmas. Some of the experiences in the story came from his own childhood memories. As Rick always says, we Christians should celebrate Christmas all year long. It is book one in the Christian book series "The Gifts of the Guard". Follow the experiences of a young boy as he discovers the true message of Christmas. In "An Angel for Easter", Rick shares the story of a young woman who has experienced rejection and abuse and desperately seeks love and acceptance. Her search leads her to find the true source of forgiveness and love. It is book two in the Christian book series "The Gifts of the Guard". In "A Story for the Sabbath", the third volume of "The Gifts of the Guard" series, a young man's struggle in dealing with his suffering leads him to discover true purpose and meaning. Encounter heartfelt giving through the eyes of a servant man. Experience painful agony through the eyes of a shriveled man. Witness a miracle of Jesus through the eyes of a storyteller man. In "A Song for the Season", find out how the stories all began ... in the most unlikely of places. Witness the grace of God through the eyes of a man who lives as persecutor, prisoner, and proclaimer. One man - one grace. "The Rule of the Referees" series is a Christian allegory with a powerful message for the church. It is a set of 4 books, with an additional study guide which is good for personal or group study. Rick's desire is that each of his Christian books will lead the reader to a closer walk with the Lord, and that they will lead others to know Him personally. He also hopes his readers will give his books as gifts to those with whom they want to share the Gospel. The plan of salvation is shared in the back of each book. Rick also illustrated the Christian children's books written by his wife, Ruby Ellinger. They are titled "Rhino Rick's Adventures". Those books teach children to have Christ-like attitudes and to follow Biblical principles. The first one, "Arden Becomes and Encourager", is a full-color picture book. The second, "Five Lessons Learned on the Savannah", is a chapter book that contains all 5 stories and has black and white pictures throughout.
