R. Scott Murphy is an expert at finding humor in everyday life. He shines a light on Garage Sale Gonzos, follows Movie Theater Bigfoots, and sees the grocery store through Seinfeld Eyes. Murphy has honed his zingers and tongue-in-cheek observations of life as a writer for David Letterman’s Late Show, as a radio DJ, and as a TV host. Murphy is a Remi Award winner for humor scriptwriting in the film industry. He’s topped the Amazon chart for humor books on seven occasions and sent three of his audio singles to the top of the iTunes Comedy Songs rankings, including "Chick-fil-A Makes Me Feel Like Leonardo DiCaprio." Murphy holds a master’s degree from the University of Missouri School of Journalism and taught advertising at the University of Texas. He enjoys living in Austin, Texas where the local motto is "Keep Austin Weird." He writes the weekly Fun Stories Universe humor newsletter with his family's rescue dog, Curly. Murphy writes the Curly Dog children's book series with his wife, Jenny.
