Welcome to my Amazon page. I've written more than 20 books for children, ranging from stories for pre-schoolers right through to teens. My debut novel for adults is Two Little Liars.
My books often contain elements of folklore, magic and superstition, whether it's three sisters breaking a family curse in the best-selling Pinch of Magic Adventures, or wild, vengeful faeries in the 13 Treasures series, the first of which won the Waterstones Children's Book Prize.
Two Little Liars, my first adult thriller, was more than a decade in the making. While it hints at superstition rather than the supernatural, it was inspired by a silver bottle in Oxford's Pitt Rivers Museum, said to contain a witch, as well as Osea island in Essex, and its eerie causeway (which features in the film, The Woman in Black). It's a story of toxic teen dynamics, an unsolved murder and a terrible lie with devastating consequences.
Prior to being a full-time writer I worked in several bars, a bakery, an art gallery, a book shop and for a children's publisher. I live in Essex with my family and cats.
