Publisher's Summary

From the best-selling author of A Pinch of Magic and A Sprinkle of Sorcery comes a thrilling story of sisters, spells and witches.

Everyone knows that magic and trouble go hand in hand....

A dangerous spell cast over an unsuspecting village.

An enchanted painting locked in a hidden room.

A desperate race against time to break the spell before it's too late....

It should have been a fresh start for the Widdershins. Finally free from the misty gloom of Crowstone and beginning a new life. But all is not as it seems in their postcard-pretty village. Their neighbours are acting strangely, and why do they flinch at the mere mention of magic?

The Widdershins sisters have their own secret: a set of enchanted nesting dolls with the power to render their user invisible. The sisters must use their wits - and their magic - if they're to break the dark hold over the village and save one of their own...but have they met their match this time?

The third instalment of the Widdershins series!

I have loved every book in this series to the extent that I have purchased all three books in audiobook format despite receiving the e book editions of the first and third stories from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. As you can tell I have truly loved the series and long may it continue. Michelle Harrison is one of the best children's authors writing today, despite the fact that this is the third book in the series, the storyline is fresh and exciting and beautifully written as usual. I bought the audiobooks because I enjoyed reading the books so much as a reviewer and wanted to share them with my granddaughters because they are so good. The feedback from the eldest is perfect! I think she would happily see Michelle Harrison writing 24/7 with no time off for good behaviour. Truly excellent and a great way to encourage your children to enjoy reading.

Good but...

I loved this book. it was wonderfully mysterious and I never knew what was going to happen next. the only thing that put me off was the creepiness. it was very creepy and spooky and that isn’t what I was expecting with the age rating. this would definitely scare 7-11 year olds. Great story though. very grasping!
