I am a writer, screenwriter, filmmaker, photographer and web programmer. And sometimes an actor. I also like fragmented sentences. I recently tried my hand at stage managing. Obviously I'm spread way to thin to accomplish anything. Though I do have a documentary film on the market, called got healthcare? (see more at gotHealthCareMovie.com). I'm also working on finishing two other docs. But I would prefer dramatic films. I like acting and working with actors. I like written stories, especially when based on truth. I think they are potentially more accurate and real than documentaries are. The people in my health care film were very passionate and equivalent to the best of actors you'd ever find. They're just limited to playing themselves.
I studied photography and film at the Philadelphia College of Art. Photography has always been my passion and my best talent. I came to film through it. It's just so hard to get by doing it. So that's where web programming comes in. You can see my photography and web designs at JRPhotoFilm.com.
I've begun to write probably a hundred or more screenplays. I tend to get in about 40 or 50 pages and then dry up. One I actually finished and made it into the Bluecat Screenplay contest as a quarter-finalist. It was a combination of the first 7 screenplays I completed. They were all bad but combining the best of each seemed to work. The screenplay is called Credit Risk and I may even publish it, just for kicks. I tend to write about the corporate world because that's where I live and stress out each day. I'm working on an idea now that just might be cool.
