This is rivals to more stepbrothers college romance, featuring Lane and Noah, and is book two in the Forbidden Goals series.

Noah first meets Lane when they are fourteen. Lane comes to live with Noah’s dad and Lane’s estranged mum after Lane’s super religious grandfather passes away.

This book was so so so good and so so so heavy! Noah and Lane’s relationship development was crazy spicy but underneath all of that, there was an undeniable connection building between them. Lane had an horrific upbringing with his grandfather and it was only Noah who knew exactly how to help Lane to not only keep him grounded but to allow Lane to be who he is.

I could read this book over and over, it was moving, heart-breaking, angsty, shocking, funny in parts, all consuming and obsessive. Their push-pull, spicy times and dirty talk drags you into their story, but their draw, connection, commitment and love holds you there.

The narration was perfection, enhanced the story, Jake Bordeaux did an amazing job.

This was a great listen. New narrator to me but he was good. The story was incredible.

Loved this! Going in blind as I like to do, there was more intensity and emotional past trauma than I was expecting but it was so well written and integral to the characters story. Great depth to this story and the repercussions of the trauma were realistic and not rushed. I loved that Noah was so cocky and carefree compared to Lane’s vulnerability. They made a perfect match even though it doesn’t seem like it at first. Perfected descriptive Spice and plenty of those scenes.
