interesting concept, if you can follow the timeline and character perspective jumps, quit confusing at times

Ok… Firstly, this isn’t a light hearted listen.
It will have you on the edge on your seat in anticipation and suspense the whole time.

I’m exhaling after listening… a bit lost in thought, but also resolved and wow’ed by the story.

Highly recommend for Penelope Douglas fans!

I was nervous going into this because of all of the reviews saying it’s a heavy read and to be careful etc. but I didn’t really find anything to be triggering? Yes there are darker themes but by far not a difficult story to stomach. It was a great listen, the narrators did a great job!! I did find myself slightly bored by the storyline and zoning out sometimes but overall I enjoyed the story

I was so angry and frustrated for almost ALL of this book. It wasn't until the last hour or so that I could finally stop feeling so agitated! This story will suck you in and you CANT STOP listening. I'm happy I finished it and got the closure I needed but damn if I could go back I probably would not have started this book because it affected my real life moods so strongly with an emotion I really don't like feeling. Readers beware but if you do dare to brave the book, it's a sweet ending.

Definitely a dark romance
So many dark themes with a strong love at the centre. Some broken people, that need others to bring them back to the land of the loving.

I really liked all of these characters, both main and secondary. I’m looking forward to continuing this series.
Rika and Michael - great pair.

I’m looking forward to Kai’s book next.

I ABSOLUTELY HATED EVERYONE IN THIS DAMN BOOK!!! MY BLOOD WAS BOILING AND I WANTED EVERYONE TO GET NERFFFFFD LMAO. Why was this so hateble. Yet so damn good!!! I devoured this book in one setting and it had me in a chokehold like ERIKA???!!! my girrrrrlllll you didn't even make them grovel or their apology worth it?!

Anyways.... STEAM ROOM SCENE. Holllyyyyyyy smokes. I ain't like the sharing trope one bit. Buttttttt that was HOT!!!!

If you enjoy the constant anxious feeling throughout your narrated storytime then this is the story for you.
The forever hanging question of why are these characters behaving like this.. and would someone please get to the chase and OMG why are men soo bad at communicating?
But saying all that, it was well written and the plot has sucked me in hook line and sinker.
A sometimes scary, cringeworthy, steamy, suspenseful, coming-of-age, morally and ethically grey story,
The 4 horsemen Micheal, Kai, Damon and Will seek revenge on Erika for her actions on Devil's Night that saw 3 of them go to prison.

Other than the fact that the female narrator read with a weird way, this story was wonderful. I enjoyed the moodiness, the angst, the twists and the turns. And the spicy scenes were 5 chilis! Loved it.
