WINTER

Sending him to prison was the worst thing I could've done. It didn't matter that he did the crime or that I wished he was dead. Perhaps I thought I'd have time to disappear before he got out or he'd cool off in jail and be anything but the horror he was. But I was wrong. Three years came and went too fast, and now he's anything but calm. Prison only gave him time to plan. And while I anticipated his vengeance, I didn't expect this. He doesn't want to make me hurt. He wants to make everything hurt.

DAMON

First thing's first. Get rid of her daddy. He told them I forced her. He told them his little girl was a victim, but I was a kid, too, and she wanted it just as much as I did.

Step two.... Give her, her sister, and her mother nowhere to run and no fuel to escape. The Ashby women are alone now and desperate for a knight in shining armor. But that's not what's coming. No, it's time I listened to my father and took control of my future. It's time I showed them all - my family, her family, my friends - that I will never change and that I have no other ambition than to be the nightmare of their lives.

Amazing!

I actually didn’t want to hear this book after the first two because I really just didn’t like Daman. So I put it off for a few weeks before relenting and holy cow! This book was seriously amazing. I loved the other two books, but this one is by far the best.

⭐️ [5/5 Stars] ⭐️

Imagine me not crying for six hours straight while I read this. Ugh. My eyeballs. They HURT. I didn’t care much about this series, to be honest. Through the first and second book I was always more invested in Damon and Will and I know everyone said that this one is the best in the series, and I wanted to only read this one but I felt like I needed to read the first two to have a proper understanding, and I’m really glad I did. While they weren’t my favourite and I don’t care much for the world, I don’t think I would have loved this one as much if I didn’t have all that history from the other two. This was emotionally draining and hard to read. It was exhausting to read because it broke my damn heart. Damon has issues, he’s always been fucked up and while his history isn’t an excuse for his behaviour, it’s a reason, and it’s a damn sad one. I just want to hug him. Even in the first book, I knew something was seriously wrong. In this one the entire time I just cried for him and I wanted to HUG him. He deserves so much love. Yeah, he’s done some fucked up shit, but I don’t care. His character development over the three novels has been incredible and the same goes for all of the characters, actually. Rika is such a bad bitch now. So far, I haven’t been a fan of any of the heroines in this series. I mean they’re okay and there’s nothing wrong with them but sometimes they’re just dumb. I liked Winter to an extent. Her reasons for hating Damon were a bit wishy washy, I don’t understand why it took so long for her to remember exactly what happened in the treehouse. I liked that she made Damon soft and I love how her loved her. Honestly, I just wanted him to be happy. Sigh. I’m just so soft for him. I still feel like there’s a lot about Damon and Will that I don’t know, which is why I’m desperate to read the next book when it comes out. This review is all over the place sorry LMAO, I don’t even know why I’m giving it five stars I just know I liked it, I liked the stolen moments between Damon and Winter, I like how he let his guard down. I loved the way these characters have been developed and written. Penelope Douglas is such a bad bitch. Plus, there was another threesome scene and while nothing will ever top the one between Kai Michael and Rika, this one was just as drool worthy. Yes pleassseeee.

Devils Knight

Never thought I would like Damien, really, I just never thought I’d feel empathy for him as he really wasn’t a very nice person. But as usual Pen Douglas weaves her magic and you feel so many different things for these characters, and by the end not only did I have empathy for Damien but I was cheering him on. Looking forward to the second part that will follow, I have no doubt it will be brilliant. As for the narrators, it’s been the same two throughout who in general I really enjoy. At times I think they sound a little to old for the characters they are bringing to life, but once you get wrapped up in listening that goes on the back burner.

Damon! ❤️

This is book 3 of the devils night series featuring the 4 horsemen. This was Damon’s book and what a story this was! I hated Damon but really fell in love with him in this book! Damon and winter are magic together. The book reveals a lot of family secrets. It switches from past to present a lot which I usually don’t like but it didn’t bother me too much with this book. The story also leaves you with more questions too. Like how is the divorce going to go? Will they get married? How is winters sister going to react to all of this? Will Damon eventually have a relationship with his mom? What’s Banks going to do with the inheritance? Will Rika still run for office? So many questions! I hope book 4, Wills book will answer everything and also finally see Michael and Rikas wedding. As always another winner of a series so far with this one as the Fall Away series is still one of my favorites. Great narration too especially jumping between young and older character voices. So nice to see the horsemen and now horsewomen coming back together again! PS it would also be nice for Alex to get a nice HEA too... just sayin.

Loved this! Triggers and all! ❤

Woah...how to put any of it into words? 😳 Tragically beautiful? The relationship between Damon and Winter is so warped and enthralling, and Damon's relationship with Will is just painful. Damon's mother...the words to describe the scum she is don't exist. 🤬 By far my favorite ❤ in the series and at this point I really dislike Michael, Kai, and Erika. Will's feelings are justified and Banks is still badass. Also, another hot MFM. 🔥 WARNING: This is not for everyone because of the taboo and controversial subject matter of certain parts. I applaude Penelope for portraying the possible outcomes of such scenarios. I see her characters as the reluctant truths of such acts.

"Our kind of fun has a price"

You know when you read a book and there's certain characters that really just get underneath your skin? When you can't decide if you actually like them OR if you're just intrigued by all the really messed up stuff that they do. Stuff that makes you repeatedly say "Oh my God...did he really just do that"??😳🤭🤣🤣🤣 That's definitely Damon Torrance! The one that you love to hate. And this book does not disappoint with OMG/WTF moments. Lol your head will be spinning! Winter is not my favorite female character from the Devil's Night series. I would like to know more about why she did what she did to him. BUUUUTTTT she is absolutely a perfect match for Damon. 😍🔥 If she stays or goes is all up to him!

Trigger Warning but Good Book!

If you are sensitive to hearing rape especially from a family figure, please be advised before reading this book! I found these parts hard to listen to on my part. Overall the story is good. I liked seeing this side of Damon and see that he, like the others, does have his weaknesses. I am not sure that this novel really makes up however for all of the bad stuff he has done.

What a performance..

This book is the best one in the series, it takes you on a rollercoaster ride of emotional, dark places and the termination is outstanding, ill warn you though their's some evil parts that might trigger people so be warned, it was written like a treat, mindblowing and very addictive, i couldn't stop listing to it, you'll need a full day, but worth it.

Mind blowing!

Wow! What a performance by the narrators! Amazing story line. Damon is my favorite out of the four. So dominant, possessive, demanding. Amazing chemistry. Can’t wait for the last installment!

Loved it!

Great story as this continues with Damon and Winters story. the author once again ups the stakes and takes us on an even darker ride than the previous two. We get to hear the full horrors of Damon's earlier life and my opinion of the character went from pure hatred following his actions in the previous two books to actual liking him by the end. I feel he redeemed himself although not sure if I still completely trust him. Narrative was one again flawless as this pair take on the evilest character in this series doing him justice whilst showing Winter to be the feisty determined woman she becomes despite being blind. A great audio!
