• S2 E33: This week on the DL: A Mother's Day Tribute
    May 9 2024

One of the best parts of this podcast is bringing relatable, honest and vulnerable stories to the world. Through storytelling, people feel less alone, less isolated, less "othered".

This week the A team sit down with real life super mom Maria, who shares her struggles through divorce, the realities of an untenable parenting plan, and what happens when you agree to things out of fatigue not intention.

Happy Mother's Day from the DL to those that are moms, that those that struggle with their relationship with their mom, with their mother-in/out-laws, that journeyed hard to become a mom, to the step moms and surrogate moms, the moms of rainbow babies and especially to those moms coparenting.

We see you, we are you, we love you.

  • S2 E31: This week on the DL: The Term, “Parental Alienation” and Why It Needs to Go!
    Apr 25 2024
This week is an incredibly important episode and the A team is beyond lucky to sit down with Suzanne Zaccour, Director of Legal Affairs for NAWL (the National Association of Women and Law).

NAWL, together with over 250 other organizations, has petitioned for the removal of "Parental Alienation" from the Family Courts as it is incredibly ineffective and only serves to re-victimize and punish those trying to get out of abusive relationships. This episode lifts the lid off the term “alienator”, bringing it all back to what is best for the kids.

  • S2 E29: This week on the DL: Kids and Transitions
    Apr 11 2024

Alex and Amanda sit down this week to discuss all things transitions. We see it every day, not just in divorce, but the real question is how can we help our kids with these transitions?

Transitions for kids can look like: going to a new school, a new home, maybe even a new neighbourhood. It could also look like going to summer camp for the first time, to a first sleepover, taking transit or walking to and from school alone.

Transitions for children of divorce, however, can look different: it might be a new parenting schedule, going from one home to the other, afterschool care for the first time, maybe more time at a grandparents' house or maybe even just something small like not having all their "stuff" at both parents' homes. Whatever it is for your kids, tune in for some helpful tips and tricks to ease the burden or transition (for you and the kids!).
