The greater the Evil, the more deadly the game....

When a rapist is found mutilated in a brutal attack, Detective Kim Stone and her team are called in to bring a swift resolution. But, as more vengeful killings come to light, it soon becomes clear that there is someone far more sinister at work.

With the investigation quickly gathering momentum, Kim finds herself exposed to great danger and in the sights of a lethal individual undertaking their own twisted experiment.

Up against a sociopath who seems to know her every weakness, for Detective Stone, each move she makes could be deadly. As the body count starts to mount, Kim will have to dig deeper than ever before to stop the killing. And this time - it's personal.

The rising star of the British thriller scene returns with a novel that enthrall fans of Rachel Abbott, Val McDermid and Mark Billingham.

Critic Reviews

"Stunning." ( The Mail on Sunday)
"I absolutely loved it...This one is one of the best crime thrillers I've read in a long time, and that includes mainstream authors such as James Patterson!" (Fiona's Book Reviews)
"I don't think I've been so hooked by a new author since the discovery of Mark Edwards or Mark Billingham...if you finish a crime thriller feeling like you just need to have a lie-down and a cup of tea to get your breath back, then the writer has done their job. Angela Marsons, I still don't have my breath back." ( Reading Room with a View)

Hum Dinger

Could not put this tapestry down? Loved the mental sparing between the heroine and her nemesis, though thought her demise should have been as ruthless as Ruth’s ruination?

Love it when it comes together

Loved the way this all came together at the end. Another very clever, well written and detailed crime thriller. Struggled at the beginning to see how it was shaping up so again will go back from the start and enjoy with fore-knowledge and understanding

Lacklustre

Evil games was a bit lacklustre for me compared to Silent Scream. It may be because I am a psychiatrist but it just seemed silly. The narration was excellent however and I am still curious about what else Angela Marsons has to offer.

Not to give too much away but this has a very interesting twist on Mental Illness.

Fantastic read!

Loved this book, main character complex and highly interesting, second book I've read in the series, both equally as good as each other!!!

Suspenseful

Excellent in every respect. The narrator did an excellent job probably made easier with a great story so well written. Plenty of twists and turns to keep the suspense going.

Persist through the first chapter, it’s worth it.

As a trauma survivor and advocate I was initially put off by the start of the book but persisted and found it great,

This was a good story well written. The storyline was very good. Giving a different virew on crime and mental illness. Narration easy to listen to. one of the best.
