Special Military Operation Publisher's Summary

Andrei Nikita Kuznetsov, once hailed as the Soviet Union's finest sniper, now languishes in the shadows of his former glory. Estranged from his family and drowning in self-loathing, he counts down his remaining days in a dilapidated apartment, numbing his pain with vodka.

In contrast, Sasha greets each dawn with hope, until a cascade of mistakes threatens to extinguish his aspirations and threatens to derail his dreams. Rejected by his love, Anna, and adrift in a sea of failures, Sasha sees his future slipping away.

When invasion strikes Ukraine, both men are thrust into a battle for their homeland's survival. Armed with nothing but his grandfather's ancient rifle, Kuznetsov must prove himself worthy of the fight, despite his age, poor physical condition, and the demons poisoning his soul. Meanwhile, Sasha, desperate to win back Anna's affection, joins the ranks of volunteers, unaware of the trials that await him on the battlefield.

As their paths converge amidst the chaos of war, Kuznetsov and Sasha must navigate their differences and unite against a common enemy. Can these unlikely allies overcome their personal demons and become the heroes Ukraine needs? Or will they succumb to the madness of war? Join us on a gripping journey of redemption, sacrifice, and the unbreakable spirit of resilience.
