Things might not be perfect in Middlewich, a small town in what used to be New Hampshire, but former street dog Lucy has it pretty good: a loving owner, plenty of food, and a nice, warm cabin. When raiders attack Middlewich, stealing Lucy and the supplies of her family and neighbors, Lucy must marshal all her resources to escape her captors and find her way home. As a "sideways" tale, this book takes place in the Five Years universe but is not a direct sequel.
