Sean Barber is a full-time author of apocalyptic LitRPG novels based in Colorado Springs. The 40-year-old father of one and former truck driver made his literary debut in January 2022 with the first volume of the Paths of Power Initialization Trilogy. As of November 2023, That Trilogy is now complete along with a Side story novella called Family Perils. Originally from Clearlake, a small town in northern California, Sean has lived in Colorado Springs for over two decades. He has an associate's degree in Information Technology and a bachelor's degree in Psychology. In addition to writing, Sean is an avid reader and audiobook listener, table top role-playing gamer, and a big fan of sci-fi, fantasy, and anime. Sean works hard at balancing his writing time and spending time with his wife, teenage son and three very hyper dogs, two of which have been included in his written works. Sean's path to becoming an author was unconventional. After earning an Associate's degree in IT and Bachelor's in Psychology, he worked as a truck driver for over 10 years before pursuing his dream of writing fiction full-time. Sean draws on his diverse life experiences and love for speculative fiction to craft compelling tales of survival and adventure in his Paths of Power series. Sean Barber takes an organic and intuitive approach to writing his books in the Paths of Power Initialization series. Rather than meticulously outlining plot points before writing, he starts with a general idea of the story and allows it to grow and develop organically as he writes. This instinctive writing style allows the plot and characters to evolve in a natural way, guided by the overarching plot points but not restricted by a rigid outline. This intuitive process gives his books a spontaneous, fresh feel that readers seem to enjoy.
